Session Information

Session Description

Learn more about the features of Moodle and explore how this learning management system can be used to facilitate online and blended learning experiences for your students. In this workshop, participants will first be introduced to the Moodle Philosophy and the many resources available through the Moodle Community. Then, participants will take a hands-on tour through a sample Moodle course and discuss the various tools and features available in Moodle. Along the way, the group will work together to brainstorm how Moodle’s tools might be applied in participant’s own schools and classrooms. The workshop will conclude with an introduction to the course creation interface and the skills needed to develop your own Moodle courses.
This workshop is designed as an introduction to Moodle’s capabilities; to demonstrate what Moodle can do as opposed to being a complete, in-depth training session on how to build courses in Moodle. If you are new to Moodle or have only used a few tools, this workshop is sure to inspire you to build or improve on your own Moodle courses!
